Tamang Heritage Trail is a very newly opened trekking route in popular Langtang trekking region, which highlights an ancient lifestyle combining it with picturesque scenery and healing baths in natural hot springs. It is an exciting trek into the Himalayas that offers travelers a glance into every-day lives of the Tamang people. The cultural and traditions of these people are similar to the Tibetan across the border.
The 15-day trip begins in Kathmandu with visits to UNESCO World Heritage Sites after a long drive to Syabrubesi. Throughout our journey we will be rewarded with outstanding views of the Himalayas and get acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Tamangs who live in close vicinity to the mighty Langtang.
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu air port- transfer to the hotel. Welcome drinks will be served.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Trek Preparation & Free time
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (1550m.): 8-9 hrs
Day 04: Syabru Besi to Gatlang (2200m.): 5-6 hrs
Day 05: Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m.): 6-7 hrs
Day 06: Tatopani to Thuman (2400m.)Vithali via Brimdang and Nagthali: 6-7 hrs
Day 07: Thuman to Briddim (2345m.): 6-7 hrs
Day 08: Briddim to Lama Hotel (2470m.): 6-7 hrs
Day 09: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3430m.): 6-7 hrs.
Day 10: Langtang valley to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m.): 3-4 hrs
Day 11: Explore day at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 12: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2470m.)4-5 hrs
Day 13: Lama Hotel to Syabrubeshi: 5-6hrs
Day 14: Drive to Kathmandu. Complimentary farewell dinner.
Day 15: Final departure.
