Mr. Dambar Bahadur KC, President and founder of Sisne Rover Trekking has been actively involved in travel & tourism industry since 1991. That was the time when there were hardly any established tourism companies in Nepal. He is dedicated in promoting the mountains of Nepal, Tibet, India and Bhutan. His love and passion for the tourism industry has not only led the success of the company but also helped the entire people of the western region in Nepal that depends on tourism industry. With the vision of promoting trekking routes in Nepal, he pioneered Millennium Trek in the year 2000 and added 30 villages of Western Region of Nepal to trekking routes from Pokhara.
Besides his love in tourism, he devotes rest of his time in helping conflict affected children of Nepal. In 2007, he established Shreejana Children Home in Pokhara, Nepal along with the help of SYIN, the Netherlands with his long-held vision of creating a peace, prosperous and healthy life to help war-affected children of Nepal. SCH is now a home to 35 orphaned and less fortunate children of Nepal.
He has served as the President of Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Regional Association Pokhara from 1996-2000 and also as the president of Pokhara Tourism Council from 2002 – 2004. Currently, he is a senior adviser in TAAN Western Regional Association, Pokhara Tourism Council and Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) Annapurna Chapter Pokhara. He is also the editor of Pokhara Tourism Mirror (an English magazine) published by Pokhara Tourism Council.
