Trip Overview
Dhampus is a small and quiet settlement nestled against the incredible snow-capped mountains and verdant hills. In recent times, the village has become quite popular as one of the rewarding short treks in Nepal, referred to as “Dhampus Trek”.
Located in Kaski District of Nepal, Dhampus is a culturally rich village mostly inhabited by Gurung ethnicity. Situated at an altitude of 1650 m, in the foot hills of Annapurna Himalayas is also known for its stunning mountain views.
A day hike to Dhampus from Pokhara takes you to the naturally and culturally rich Dhampus village via Kande through villages, terraced farms, and green forest that provides you a complete voyage of nature and culture.

Trip Itinerary:
- Start after a hearty breakfast where our guide picks you for short ride of an hour to reach at Kande, the starting point of hiking.
- Walk uphill straight for an hour and make gradual up for another hour then we reach Austrian Camp (2100m.), from where we will see the stunning views of beautiful mountains, green hills and the landscapes. Refresh and engage in photography or rest for some time.
- Slowly start moving downwards to the Dhampus village through Rhododendron forest. Explore the Culture and enjoy the majestic views of the mountains and the landscape. Enjoy Lunch with mountain views.
- Further descend one and half an hour down towards Phedi observing the natural beauty of the Hills area of Nepal through different forests, farmlands, and villages .Hike ends here.
- Drive half an hour on a scenic road to Pokhara.
