Ganesh Himal Trek
Ganesh Himal lies in the central eastern region of Nepal, Located to the west of the Langtang National Park, one of the most isolated and least explored areas in Nepal’s Himalayas The Ganesh Himal is named after the elephant-headed God of Good Fortune. This region offers untouched natural splendor, wild and friendly inhabitations and beautiful Himalaya ranges.
During the trek, we observe the different ways of life and the culture .Only a few foreigners have explored the area in recent years. The culture is rich and lifestyle has not changed yet.
The 10-day Ganesh Himal Trek begins after a 7 hour drive from Kathmandu and heads northwest to Saatdobato. From Saatdobato, we head to Bhalche Top. The trails are fairly easy and gradually ascend whilst revealing a vista of nearby hills. Then, the trek heads to Gongga Bhanjyang and follows all the way to Rupchet. The trails lie within the Ruby Valley and offer an exciting take into the lives of Tamang communities. Moreover, we can also enjoy the ravishing scenery of the Ganesh Himal ranges and the Langtang Himal to the east.
Finally, the trek begins its second leg and heads to Sertung Kharka. Here, you can enjoy the village vicinity and explore the lifestyle of the local Tamang and Magar communities. Again, the trek reaches the Sertung Village and settles that the Jharlang Phedi. Further, you continue the trek to Phedi and relish the hospitality of the local communities. For the final part of the trek, you will trek to Khahare and spend the final day on the trek. You can also enjoy the views of the Ganesh Himal ranges before making way towards Kathmandu.

Trek itinerary
Day 01. Drive from Kathmandu (1,350 m) to Satdobato (1,500 m): (7 Hrs.)
We start our journey early in the morning with a drive from Kathmandu. We head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Saatdobato. While passing along the road on the bank of Trishuli River we catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills.
Please note that the first part of our drive up to Trishuli Bazaar is quite smooth. The path then crossing Trishuli River, moves along the gravel road to Satdobato. During the rainy season, the way is sometime blocked due to landslides. Satdobato is a tiny village with mix community of Tamang, Chhetri and Brahmin. Overnight in Camp.

Day 02. Trek from Satdobato to Bhalche (1,950 m): (5 Hrs.)
Hike gradually and step up to Kisping which is a nice walk through terraces and a village that consist Tamang and Dalit community. After Lunch at Kisping, we continue gradually up to Bhalche village where we camp for the night. Bhalche is nice Tamang village where we will see a small school and health post. The camp site is in another side of the school surrounded by Buddhist prayer flags. Overnight in Camp.

Day 03. Trek from Bhalche to Gonga (2,900 m): (6 Hrs.)
The trail from Bhalche ascends gradually through a jungle, crossing some small streams river on the way. Now we approach to Thulo chour a beautiful ground in the middle of the jungle where some chattel Shed (temporary hut) are seen that are used by the people who looks after cattle and collecting bamboo to make the basket.
After the lunch at Thulo Chaur, walk through the thick forest of pine & rhododendron crossing some small springs then step up to Gonga. We even see animals such as Himalayan monkey and also the great view of the Langtang Mountains. Overnight in Camp.

Day 04. Trek from Gonga to Rupchet (3,660 m): (4 Hrs.)
Early morning enjoys the view of Langtang and Tibet range. After breakfast hike through thick rhododendron and pine forest, with a good chance to see the wild animals that include Monkeys, Leopard, etc. it is a short walk but difficult because of altitude and the steep up. Either we take early lunch on the way or wait for late lunch at Rupchet. Late afternoon is free and easy, can enjoy the great Himalayan charm of Tibet range & Gosaikunda range, Rupchet is Basecamp of Sing-la top and highest altitude to sleep for your trek. The camping site is nice and big ground. Overnight in Camp.

Day 05. Trek from Rupchet to Shing La Pass (4200 m) then to Sertunga Kharka (2440 m): (6 Hrs.)
Start with an early wake up and hike to the top of Shing-La which takes almost two hours from where we can see the beautiful sunrise and the view of Ganesh Himal range, Manaslu, Annapurna, Langtang & Tibet range. After enjoying the scenery, descend through the pine & rhododendron forest. Today is the hardest day of the trek with the highest elevation. Overnight in Camp.

Day 06. Trek from Sertunga Kharka to Shertung village (2,000 m): (3 Hrs.)
Today is the comfortable day of walking that ends in 15 minutes through the jungle and then continues through a field of corn, maize, wheat, barley etc. with a glance of Ganesh Himal. We descend down to a remote village, called Tamang Ghele. Rest & explore the village and the surrounding. Overnight in Camp.

Day 07. Trek from Shertung Village to Jharlang Phedi (1,450 m): (6 Hrs.)
Walk easily on flat trail for few hours then descend to Borang village where you will encounter with Tamang people. The trail again descends to Jharlang through fields and crossing the bridge we reach Jharlang. Overnight in Camp.

Day 08. Trek from Jharlang to Kintang phedi (1,000 m): (6 Hrs.)
We continue our trek through down and with a few ups & enjoy great views of the mountains, as we walk through the friendly small villages where the local folks greet us warmly; we also come across nice farmlands. Then we approach to hot spring where we can bath and proceed on. Kintang phedi is a small valley with mix culture where the river Netrawati and Kintang River are mixed over. Overnight in Camp.

Day 09. Trek from Kintang Phedi to Khahare (700 m): (5 Hrs.)
The trail gradually down through rice fields, small villages, mostly flat easy walk following the Netrawati River that comes from Ganesh Himal glacier. We reach Khaahre Bazaar which is a shopping town for the local around. Overnight in Camp.

Day 10. Drive from Khahare to Kathmandu (1,350 m): (7-8 Hrs.)
After breakfast we drive from Khahare Bazaar to Trishuli Bazaar and then to Kathmandu. The road till Dhading besi moves through unpaved road and then we drive along the well paved road until we reach Kathmandu. It can be best defined as scenic journey due to the beautiful views of rivers, hills, terraces, forests and villages.
Meals included: Breakfast, Farewell Dinner
To celebrate the successful completion of our journey, we will have farewell dinner and share the experiences about our trek.
